The church most probably dates from the second half of the C16th.
The interior layout is single-nave, with a closed chancel to which the sacristy is joined on the north side. The church is covered by a uniform gabled roof, covered with tin, with a turret on top. It was erected using log construction and inside you can see false arched vaulting and church fittings which include: a gothic painting of _St. Sofia with Her Daughters_ from 1480, a C16th late-gothic crucifix and a C17th late-renaissance main altar with a baroque painting of St. Nicholas.
