Tourist region: Kraków i okolice
In this beautiful Renaissance Dean's House and the neighbouring, slightly larger House of Saint Stanislaus, you can see the true richness of sacred paintings, sculptures, arts and crafts, fabrics and liturgical equipment. Only here will you find the oldest painting in Poland, from the mid-thirteenth century – the saints from Dębno Podhalańskie, otherwise known as Saint Cathrine of Alexandria and Saint Agnes. Among the sculptures, it is worth paying attention to the Adoration of the Magi (15th century). There is also an interesting collection of liturgical vestments, numbering several hundred pieces, which even includes 15th century chasubles. There are also keepsakes related to Karol Wojtyła. His books, sports equipment, clothes, bed and desk are left in a small, modest square room with a window overlooking the courtyard of Saint Stanislaw's tenement house. It was in this room that he received guests and students. It was also here that Father Karol Wojtyła wrote his postdoctoral thesis.
