Restaurant Wentzl Kraków
Rynek Główny 19, 31-008 Kraków
The rooms in the tenement have always been a meeting place for Kraków's inhabitants and visitors from Poland and abroad. At the end of the 19th century, artists, painters, poets and other distinguished personalities of Polish history would meet here, including Konstanty Ildefons Galczynski, Vlastimil Hoffman and Marshal Edward Rydz-Smigly. Here, the idea of establishing a National Museum was born. Nowadays, the restaurant is visited by connoisseurs of Polish and French gastronomy. The menu includes traditional dishes of European cuisine and Wentzl's dishes. Traditional dishes are prepared innovatively using ingredients of the finest quality. More sophisticated dishes include croquettes with goat's cheese, duck liver mousse, St. Jacob's mussels or beef consommé. The main course menu is dominated by meat dishes, such as duck fillet or beef tenderloin, but vegetarians will find something for themselves, such as roast celery with coffee bean sauce. The dishes are accompanied by items selected from the wine list, imported directly from France, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria. It is essential information for visitors that 10% is added to the service.
