On the site of the wooden church, a neo-Gothic structure designed by the architect Jan Sas-Zubrzycki was erected between 1908 and 1913. Rising above the nave of the brick church, set on a stone plinth, is the church’s turreted signature tower. Three bells hang from the tower. A statue of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is on top. Cardinal Karol Wojtyła consecrated the church in 1972. In 1994, the image was crowned, and the shrine gained the status of a Marian sanctuary.
The interior contains paintings and sculptures, the oldest dating back to the 16th century, had been transferred from a defunct wooden church. Paintings from the 17th to 18th centuries hang on the walls. The 18th-century Rococo side altar contains a miraculous image that is a copy of the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa. It was painted on canvas in 1618 and pasted onto a board. The painting was venerated from the beginning, as evidenced by the silver diadems and crowns placed on it in the 17th century. In 1967, the freshest layers of paint were removed, and the image was restored to its original appearance. In 2010, the image received papal crowns blessed by Pope Benedict XVI.
