Demeter Vineyard

Tourist region: Tarnów i okolice
Wiktor Zagórski and his wife founded the vineyard in 2007 on an area of about 1 ha. It is located near Gromnik on the Biała River, where the other two brothers (Kuźnia Vineyard and Sucha Góra Vineyard) also have their vineyards in this part of the foothills. Together they participate in and present themselves at all kinds of wine fairs, festivals and meetings. The Demeter Vineyard lies at a gentle slope of around 370–380 metres above sea level. The plantings are dominated by processing varieties for winemaking, such as Solaris, Johanniter and Muscaris for white wines and Regent, Cabernet Cortis and Cabernet Carol for red wines. Despite the considerable elevation of the vineyard, these varieties cope very well with the local conditions and they are used regularly to produce very good quality wines. In addition to processing varieties, dessert vines are also grown experimentally in the vineyard. It is a kind of experimental plantation where around 60 dessert varieties are tested. Mr Zagórski's wines not infrequently win prizes and awards at wine competitions and festivals. On the property, among the wines, there is a pleasant gazebo and a barbecue.
