Gierowa Vineyard Janowice
Janowice 265, 33-115 Janowice
Tourist region: Tarnów i okolice
Not far from the flowing Dunajec River in the village of Janowice, on one of the hills, the youngest winemaker from the ENOTarnowskie region, Grzegorz Gondek, produces excellent quality wines.
The ideal location of the vineyard gives the wines here an incredible character. The vine plantings are located on the southwestern slopes close to the woods, which protect the plants from the wind and the cold. The owner grows the following red and rosé wine varieties on the 0.6-hectare site: Pinot Noir Precooce, Pinot Noir, and Monarch. No one has forgotten about white wine fans either, as the vines also include Saint Pepin, Bianka, Solaris, Seyval Blanc, Jutrzenka, and Muscaris. Over 100 species are cultivated throughout the area. The winery is open for wine tasting, and it also offers local culinary products for sale. For visitors, there is a gazebo with a barbecue and fire pit on the premises, which can accommodate up to 30 people. Gierowa Vineyard actively participates in various activities and events, such as festivals, feasts, and fairs. In 2021, it was added to the Małopolska Wine Trail. It's nice to relax here, so we recommend joining us on one of the planted terraces with a glass of fine wine.
