A month later, on 28 September, the Executive Board of the Małopolska Voivodship voted to grant Art Centre in Mościce a statute and decided to appoint the director of this newly established cultural institution of the Małopolska voivodship on 1 October 2006. The notarial deed, finalizing the process of creating the Centre, was signed on 1 August 2007. The centre, which is now a voivodship cultural institution, continues the activity of the local Nitrogen Plant Culture Centre opened in 1971. On 2 March 2012, the name of the institution was officially changed by the resolution of the Regional Assembly of the Małopolska Voivodeship no XVII/282/12 published in the Official Journal of the Małopolska Voivodeship from 16 February 2012, item651 - to Mościce Art Centre.
