Trzebinia, located in the western part of Małopolska, was the first site in Poland where a Salvatorian Monastery was built (1903).
Soon afterwards, the church construction began, which was ultimately completed in 1983, when the church was also consecrated. Four years later, the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, brought here in the 1960s, was ornamented with the papal crowns and the church was named a Marian Sanctuary. Every Saturday after the 13th day of each month (between May and October) the Fatima services are held here, combined with the all-night-long vigils. The church festival falls on the Sunday after the Corpus Christi Octave, the feast day of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
