The area - declared a Monument of History by the President of the Republic of Poland - is located in the fields of Racławice, Dziemięrzyce and partly Wrocimowice.
On April 4, 1794, the Battle of Racławice took place here - recognized by historians as one of the most important military and social events in the history of Poland. There is a commemorative Kosciuszko Mound, a manor complex in Janowiczki, a villa of Walery Sławek, and a monument to Bartosz Głowacki erected in 1994.
