Kościół świętego Mateusza Apostoła i Ewangelisty Biesiadki

The Parish Church of St. Matthew the Evangelist in Biesiadki

Wnętrze kościoła.
The church was built in 1661. The previous church had been destroyed by Rakoczy’s soldiers (there was probably already a parish here in the C12th).
Folk sculptures of the Saints are positioned in the alcoves of this single-nave church. The C20th paintings on the ceilings recall older, Podhale models. The most valuable element of the fittings is a late-gothic sculpture of the Pietà from the first half of the C16th in the C17th baroque main altar. No less impressive is the C16th Passion group on the rood beam. The chancel contains a baroque painting of Our Lady of Bochnia with the figures of the patrons.
