The Parish Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Mętków was erected in 1771. It was moved to its current location in 1972-74, and consecrated on 1 May 1974 by the then Metropolitan of Kraków, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, who in 1948-49 was still fulfilling the function of curate in Niegowić.
The Parish of Mętków was formed in 1982. The baroque, three-nave church was built to a hall-church layout using larch wood. The church fittings include baroque altars: the main altar has an image of Our Lady of Częstochowa while the two side altars have paintings of The Sacred Heart and St. Anne of Samothrace. Sites worth seeing! In Zator near Metków you can visit a Gothic church from 14th century and a beautiful 15th century castle, remodelled by Franciszek Maria Lanci in 19th century.
