Zawoja
Tourist region: Beskid Żywiecki i Orawa
The waterfall on the Mosorny Creek in Zawoja is the icing on the cake for those who reach it by following the trail along the slope of the Mosorna River. This is one of the largest and prettiest waterfalls in the Polish Beskid Mountains, one of the attractions for those relaxing in Zawoja and the surrounding area.
It is located just above the last buildings of Mosorny, a hamlet of Zawoja, in a secluded, quiet and wooded area. The Mosorne settlement is situated between Zawoja Centrum and Zawoja Widły on the slopes of the Mosorny Groń. The waters of the Mosorny Stream flow here from a height of eight metres over several rocky thresholds. The waterfall is surrounded by walls several metres high. The waterfall can be reached via the blue trail leading from Zawoja Mosorne to Hala Śmietanowa and further to Kiczorka. The trail is simple and pleasant, and families with children can easily complete it. This is a good place for attractive photos as well as to relax in nature. A water cauldron has not developed at the foot of the waterfall, so it is possible to approach the waterfall itself to take a spectacular selfie. A wooden bench has been erected by the waterfall, where you can relax and soak up the beauty of nature.
