Siklawa Waterfall

Wodospad Siklawa
Zakopane Tourist region: Tatry i Podhale
With its height reaching almost 70 m, Siklawa is the largest waterfall in Poland. It has been formed on a granite rock step that separates the Pięciu Stawów Polskich Valley from the lower Roztoka Valley.
From the Great Pond located before the step, the Roztoka river flows down the rock wall inclined at an angle of about 35°. The step itself is slotted with narrow gullies and as a result of the destructive glacial activity, elongated hills called roche moutonnées or sheepbacks have been formed onto it.
