Za Bramką Valley Tatra Mountains
34-500 Zakopane
Tourist region: Tatry i Podhale
The name of the valley comes from the rock gate located at the mouth of the valley. The gate was destroyed in the late 19th century in order to widen its entrance. The start of the trail to the Dolina za Bramką is near Zakopane's Krzeptówki, not far from Chata Sabała. To get there, you need to follow the Droga Pod Reglami road.
It is one of the two Tatra valleys whose entrance is free of charge – there is no ticket Tatra National Park ticket office at the entrance. The green trail through the valley is one of the shortest trails in the whole of the Tatra Mountains. When you reach the end, you must turn back along the same road, which you will appreciate because it is highly picturesque.
Interesting rock formations, such as the Jasiowe Turnie, can be seen along the route. Zza Bramki Creek and its numerous cascades lows alongside the trail. The valley has three caves: Jasiowy Schron, Dziura w Jatkach and the Mountain Shelter in the Za Bramką Valley.
