The Gąsienicowa Valley
One can get to Hala Gąsienicowa from Kuźnice, along the yellow trail through the Jaworzynka Valley or the blue trail through Skupniów Upłaz. An alternative route leads through the Sucha Woda Valley and is marked in black. The 2-hour route from Kuźnice to Hala Gąsienicowa is easily accessible and relatively undemanding, but one may get out of breath. A magnificent panorama of the ridge, towering over the ponds in Czarna and the Zielona Gąsienicowa Valley, invisible from below, awaits those who undertake the strenuous climb to Hala Gąsienicowa. However, it is worth following the blue trail a little further, towards the Czarny Gąsienicowy Pond, over which the sharp towers of Kościelec, Zamarła Turnia, Kozi Wierch and the Granaty Peaks proudly present themselves. Leaving Hala Gąsienicowa in the other direction, more to the west, one can reach Kasprowy Wierch and the Zielona Gąsienicowa Valley with its enchanting smaller and larger ponds. Located at Hala Gąsienicowa, the PTTK Murowaniec Mountain Hostel is the main base for trips to Orla Perć, Świnica, Kościelec, the Krzyżne Pass or Kasprowy Wierch.
Admission to the Valley is paid.
