Morskie Oko Lake
Morskie Oko is the largest lake in the Tatra Mountains, located at the foot of the Mięguszowieckie Peaks. Its surface reflects the majesty of the Mięguszowieckie Peaks, Cubryna and Mnich.
The trail to Morskie Oko Lake starts at the car park in Palenica Białczańska, and it is worth booking a parking place in advance. The red-marked trail leads gently upwards for about 3 hours; in most parts, it is an asphalt road with a stone path in places, which shortens enormous bends. The undoubted attraction of the route is the picturesque Mickiewicz Waterfalls, created in the stream of the Roztoka Creek.
After reaching Morskie Oko Lake and reflecting on the captivating panorama, it is worth taking a walk around the lake to look at the mountain hostel from the opposite direction. More demanding and determined hikers can approach Czarny Staw pod Rysami Lake and look at Morskie Oko Lake from a different perspective along the way. From around Morskie Oko Lake, one can plan various further hikes to the famous Rysy Mountain, the Pod Chłopkiem Pass or towards Mnich, the Chałubiński Gate and the Szpiglasowa Pass.
Admission to the Valley is paid.
