The cultural elite of Chrzanów used to meet here; today, temporary art exhibitions take place here, as it is a branch of the Chrzanów Museum.
It is a single-storey, brick house on a stone foundation, with a partial basement. The timber-framed roof is covered with clay tiles. The front and side elevations have a rich architectural design with a wooden porch in the front. Inside, the original exhibition interior has been arranged. The premises have been adapted into studios, a library, an archive and a reading room. The historic building was opened in the autumn of 1985 with a significant anniversary exhibition of the museum's achievements on its 25th anniversary.
Its immediate surroundings include a beautiful garden, which adds to the splendour of the entire house. The garden includes a 'geological garden'.
Not only will lovers of art, history and beauty find something for themselves here, but so will people who support the idea of taking a quiet break from the problems around you and spending time with a good book. Because of this, the Urbańczyk House has been gaining quite a reputation is likely to continue to grow more and more popular.
