Urbańczyk House is situated on Henryka Avenue in a small garden. It was designed and built by the district builder Franciszek Urbańczyk. The building probably dates from the last quarter of the 19th century and is an interesting example of small-town villa with distinct regional features.

Its historical and aesthetic qualities and central location meant that the building was purchased with municipal funds in 1981 directly from the heirs of the last owner and was subsequently adapted for museum purposes. The cultural elite of Chrzanów used to meet here; today, temporary art exhibitions take place here, as it is a branch of the Chrzanów Museum.

It is a single-storey, brick house on a stone foundation, with a partial basement. The timber-framed roof is covered with clay tiles. The front and side elevations have a rich architectural design with a wooden porch in the front. Inside, the original exhibition interior has been arranged. The premises have been adapted into studios, a library, an archive and a reading room. The historic building was opened in the autumn of 1985 with a significant anniversary exhibition of the museum's achievements on its 25th anniversary.

Its immediate surroundings include a beautiful garden, which adds to the splendour of the entire house. The garden includes a 'geological garden'.
