The Cemetery Church of St. Helena in Nowy Sącz was built in 1686 on the old outskirts Chełmiec Polski.
Its founder was the abbess of the Convent of Poor Clares in Stary Sącz, Helena Marchocka. For its construction use was probably made of elements of a previous church from 1608 which was destroyed during the Swedish Deluge. Inside you can see a renaissance-baroque main altar with baroque paintings from the second half of the C17th (Madonna with Child, The Annunciation, St. Kinga and scenes from the life of the Clares of the Sącz convent); renaissance paintings from around 1580 (scenes of The Crucifixion and The Resurrection) and oil paintings from the C17th and C18th.
