Radziejowa Beskid Sądecki
33-390 Łącko
Tourist region: Beskid Sądecki i Niski
Radziejowa is also located within the Poprad Landscape Park. The name Radziejowa refers to the local surname or rather nickname ‘Radziej’. It is possible that this was also the name of the first owner of the surrounding forests. The northern slopes of Radziejowa belong to the Baniska Reserve and feature an interesting, though not accessible to tourists, cave called Bania. The area is also a sanctuary for a specific bird: the grouse, whose population is unfortunately becoming increasingly rare in Poland. Radziejowa is a peak for lovers of mountain hiking and a nice option for a weekend getaway in the mountains, practically for everyone. The Beskid region is an extremely attractive area for tourists, with forested mountain trails, babbling brooks and stunning views. A surprise awaits the conquerors of Radziejowa on the summit: a viewing tower. Once you climb the 22-metre-high structure, you have a beautiful view of the Pieniny, Tatra and Beskid mountains. Radziejowa can be accessed by several trails. The trail from Obidza is the shortest variant of the route to Radziejowa. It’s also a great option for tourists with the youngest hikers, as the route itself is not that demanding. The trip to the summit along this trail will take an unhurried 2 hours. There are also other routes to choose from, which are slightly longer:
- red trail from Rytro through Chata Kordowiec and Niemcowa
- blue and yellow trails from Rytro through Rozdroże Mićkowskie and the Skałka Glade
- yellow and red trails from Moszczenica Wyżna through Rozdroże Zwornik and Wielka Przehyba
- red and yellow trails from Jaworki through Biała Woda and Litawcowa
- yellow and blue trails from Litmanova (Slovakia) through Rozdziela and Obidza Passes
