'On the Good Water' ('Nad Dobrą Wodą') Vineyard
Garlica Duchowna 56, 32-087 Zielonki
Tourist region: Kraków i okolice
Its owners, Katarzyna and Jacek Hamel, moved here from the city years ago and quite quickly came to the conclusion that vine cultivation would be the best form of managing the slope rising above their new house.
'On the Good Water' Vineyard is located at the central part of the slope rising above the Garliczka Valley, one of the picturesque valleys near Krakow. The foot of this slope flows from the west along a stream, referred to in oral tradition by the locals as 'Good Water', from which the vineyard takes its name.
It covers an area of 0.3 hectares. Grapes such as Seyval Blanc, Dawn and Bianca are grown here for white wines, as well as rondo and Dornfelder for red wines. Wines from this vineyard have taken part more than once in the Convention of Polish Vintners, where they have received distinctions.
