Szawapier Vineyard
Stryszawa 815, 34-205 Stryszawa
Tourist region: Beskid Mały i Makowski
Located in the beautiful and picturesque village of Stryszawa near Sucha Beskidzka, the vineyard was established in 2009 by Elżbieta and Marcin Pieróg. Today it covers 0.75 hectares and is located on fairly high ground – 450 metres above sea level. The winery produces white, rosé and red wines from strains such as Solaris and Bianca for white wines and Marechal Foch, Regent, Rondo and Rösler for red wines. 30% of the production is semi-dry wines and only 1% of the production is ice wines (these are not made every year as specific conditions are required for their production, harvesting and processing of the fruit takes place at a temperature of at least -7 °C, usually at night). The vineyard is run in the Guyot system, i.e., vines are growing from one main stem. The owners invite you to come for a tasting and to enjoy the nearby agritourism farm. Soon the wines will be available for purchase online and on-site at the vineyard. An agritourism farm operates next to the vineyard.
