Zagrabie Vineyard
Miodowa 4, 32-061 Rybna
Tourist region: Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska
The vineyard was founded in 2010 by a married couple whose dream, hobby and eventually passion was to own a vineyard. Mrs Marta takes care of the wines from their birth – that is, from the shrubs in the vineyard with which she 'talks'. Her husband Marek takes care of the entire next stage of production up to corking. From its beginnings in 2015 the plantation has grown to cover an area of 1 ha and the main varieties grown are Seyval Blanc, Sibera, Serena, Johanniter, Bianca, La Crescent and Rondo and Regent for red wines.
The plantation is located at an altitude of 320m above sea level on the western edge of the Tenczyński Hump – the southern part of the Krakow-Częstochowa Upland.
The vines grow on a south-west slope on clay and loess soils on a limestone substructure, which gives the wines their unique character.
The name of the vineyard comes from a grove that used to be located here and was entirely covered by the Humps. In addition to traditional tours and tastings, the winery is happy to organise intimate gatherings and events for birthdays or bachelorette parties. A short distance away from the vineyard, the owners' family buildings house the winery building, where all grape processing and wine production takes place.
