32-540 Piła Kościelecka Tourist region: Oświęcim i okolice

A sandy beach, water, piers and Nature make it an area for Nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. The infrastructure, which has been developed in attractive natural areas, makes this place ideal for relaxation and a break from the city. It is also recommended for families with children.
This lagoon, the largest in Trzebinia, lies on the edge of the Dulowska Forest. Its southern part is landscaped, and in summer, there is a guarded swimming pool (payable). Catering and accommodation facilities and water equipment rentals are provided by resorts, which guarantee water equipment. There are also playgrounds and sports fields. From a natural point of view, the area situated on the side of the Piła Kościelecka is worth seeing. On both sides of the road, there are communities of water plants and plants that demand moist places. The dominant plants are marsh plants such as manna grass, broad-leaved fern, narrow-leaved fern, reeds, rushes and, quite rare in this region, branch coneflowers. On the water surface, clusters of floating pondweeds can be observed, and swamp vegetation can be found in places at the edges of the lagoon. The Chechło Lagoon, as a relatively young reservoir, already has reed rush thriving on its banks, which is beneficial for water purification, and grass rush meadows with sedges on the banks. The wet meadows adjacent to the lagoon are home to several orchid species and the gladiolus, and the marsh gentian. The Siberian iris and the autumn groundsel can be found here among the protected plants. The colourful meadows at the Chechło Lagoon, rich in flower species, also attract numerous insects, amphibians, reptiles and birds.
