Dom Długosza Kraków
Długosz’s House in 25 Kanoniczna Street, Kraków, Stanisław Wyspiański’s biography
Monuments
In 1872 the house, together with a nearby one-storey property which had been adapted for housing purposes, was taken over by the Wyspiański family who organised Franciszek Wyspiański’s studio there.
Stanisław Wyspiański lived there for 8 years as a child. Two tragedies happened in this period: in 1875 his brother Tadeusz died, and soon after his mother, maiden name Rogowska. In 1880 Stanisław moved to the house of his uncle and aunt who treated him like his own son.
