Kanonicza street, leading straight towards the Wawel cathedral, comprises historic tenements and palaces.
Two of them, a beautiful Renaissance Dean’s House with an original stone portal, and the neighbouring St. Stanislaus House, house the Archdiocesan Museum. The collection contains paintings, sculptures and decorative arts. Some exhibits date back to as early as the 13th century, such as the original Romanesque plank painting, called the Saints from Dębno. Among the sculptures, particularly beautiful is the Bow of the Three Kings (from the 15th century). Worth noting is the collection of liturgical vestments, consisting of several hundred items. It contains chasubles from as early as the 15th century. The museum also features mementoes related to Karol Wojtyła.
