Wieża widokowa Jaworze

Jaworze lookout tower

Obiekt przyrodniczy

33-333 Ptaszkowa Tourist region: Beskid Sądecki i Niski

Jaworze – 882 metres above sea level, is a peak in the Grybowskie Mountains on the border of the Beskid Sądecki and Beskid Niski, on top of which an observation tower was built in 2005.

The tower has a steel, openwork structure. It is more than 29 metres high. The viewing platform is at a height of 15.8 metres, and the crowning cross is 9 metres high. In gusts of wind, the tower moves a little. Therefore, someone with a fear of heights had better let the climbing go. A sign at the entrance warns of this. An obelisk dedicated to Pope John Paul II was erected next to the tower in 2007 to mark the 50th anniversary of the trail's passage through Jaworze. It is worth climbing the tower, as the views unfolding from the platform are breathtaking. In addition to the Beskid Niski, the Beskid Sądecki (Jaworzyna and Radziejowa ranges) can be seen. In between appear the High and Belianskie Tatras, and further west, the Gorce and Beskid Wyspowy. The green trail from Grybów and the blue trail from Nowy Sącz lead to the summit. It can be approached from the village of Ptaszkowa or the pass between Binczarowa and Bogusza.
