Novi Cianowice Vineyard
ul. Szkolna 38, 32-043 Cianowice
Tourist region: Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska
It's hard to imagine a more fabulous vineyard location. That's because Novi Vineyard is located adjacent to the 19th-century Dobiecki Palace.
Located in the Ojców National Park buffer zone near Kraków, Novi Vineyard has been thriving since 2018. The vineyard is adjacent to the restored Palace in Cianowice, which belonged to the mother of the vineyard owners. The owners themselves say that the vineyard would not have been built if it were not for her. Fortunately, their dream of becoming winemakersbecame a reality. The idea for the vineyard came to the owners Marcin and Ewa in 2017, and the first plantings werein the ground in 2018. After just three years, the vineyard released its first vintage. The vines cover an area of three hectares, and you can find some really great hybrid varieties. The wines here include Solaris, Muscaris, Cuvee Blanc, Cuvee Verde, and Pet-Nat. In addition, the Novi cellar contains Katharina wine, which was created in honour of Ms Katarzyna, the owners' mother, whose determination led to the creation of the vineyard. The former farm buildings were also used to create a wine bar, accommodation for enotourism fans, a laboratory, warehouses, and a shop. The place, especially during the summer, is vibrant with communal wine harvests, tastings and concerts. Novi wines are pleasant tasting and aromatic, making them a great companion for summer gatherings. Some can even detect a hint of the limestone rock that dominates these Jurassic areas. The vineyard was included in the list of the Małopolska Wine Trail in 2021.
