The Parish Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Ropa arose in 1761. It was founded by the village landlords – Wilhelm and Petronela Siemieński.

It is a wooden Baroque temple with a log structure and shingled walls, with finials reminiscent of Lemko Orthodox church architecture. The nave has a gable roof with a bell turret, and the trilateral presbytery has a multi-pitched roof. Around 1800, two square brick chapels topped by towers with onion-shaped cupolas with lanterns and a columned portico were added to the nave, and a vestry was added to the chancel in 1956. The church underwent comprehensive conservation and restoration between 2020 and 2022.

The interior is decorated with polychrome with figural motifs from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The Baroque altars, the main and two side ones, date from the 1st half of the 19th century. The main altar features an image of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with the Archangel Saint Michael in the finial, and a sculpture of Christ at the side altar. The oldest is a stone stoup from 1691. The altars in the 1919 chapels were made by Antoni Ragoziewicz. There is an organ in the choir supported by two pillars.

Indulgence – 29 September – St Michael the Archangel, Sunday after 24 May – Our Lady Help of Christians.
