The present Krzesławice manor was built in the 19th century by the Kirchmayer family. Jan Matejko bought it in 1876.
The manor was supposed to be a summer residence for the family. An ample workshop and a porch were built onto the mansion, both survived to this day. Currently, the manor along with the land, the garden and the park belongs to the Krakow Society of Friends of Fine Arts. It houses a museum of Kollataj and Jan Matejko's memorabilia, and preserved its historic character.
