This ancestral home of Zebrzydowski family was erected as a defensive manor in the mid-16th century.
It was built on a plan similar to square and had two fortified towers. In later years, the building was expanded into the shape of the letter T. It became part of the hospital and the monastery of Brothers of St. John of God.
