'Święty Spokój' Winery
ul. Widokowa 110, 32-089 Zelków
Tourist region: Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska
The plantation is located at an altitude of almost 400 metres above sea level, on a not-too steep but distinct south-western slope. Just below it, however, the terrain drops quite abruptly by 120 metres into the Kluczwody Valley, which is wide at this point. Thanks to the temperature inversions that are common in this area, this location ensures that the vineyard is well protected from frost and allows the grapes on the vines to ripen for a longer period of time.
The vineyard draws on 16th- and 17th-century cultivation traditions, where vines planted on the slope are bordered by flowers, herbs and ornamental plants. Founded in 2010 by wine enthusiasts who wanted to create their 'little part of Tuscany'. The vineyard covers an area of 70 acres with around 1,200 vines. The owners experiment with varietals and strains, creating varietal or blended wines depending on the vintage. The main varietals we can see here are Hibernal, Seyval Blanc and Solaris for white wines, and Cabernet Cortis, Regent and Rondo for red wines. The winery is run by the founders, Mr and Mrs Gąsiorowski, together with their children, and has a non-commercial family character.
