Szum is the largest waterfall in the Krakowsko-Częstochowska Upland.
It is located in the central part of the Będkowska Valley, on the Będkówka river flowing along its bottom. It has been formed on a limestone rock step with a height of about 4 m. Before it, the river is narrow, but when it goes to the rocky riverbed, it becomes wider and at the beginning it flows at a slight angle. Behind the step, a fairly vast marsh has been formed.
